Rookie Move!

I just put my first batch into the fermentor and during boiling I had my hop bag with pellets open up into the brew ...doh!. At which point, and how, should I strain out that hop sediment? or should I just let it settle and just be careful about transfer to secondary fermentation???

thanks,

A lot of people don't use a bag and they just siphon off the wort into the primary fermenter and leave the chunks behind. Sound like you got the chunks in your primary fermenter. At worst, your beer might be a little more hoppy, but the goods were probably all boiled out into the wort anyway.

I would just siphon off the top during transfer to secondary, as you thought.
