My partner and I are brewing beer and are trying to come up with new recipies..............has anyone ever used vanilla in a beer recipie??

Early in my brewing hobby, I read that some tribe used kava for brewing and
promptly mad e a large mostly undrinkable batch.
Nothing wrong with exploring anyway.

Mon, February 11, 2008 - 8:11 PMI've also had a really good vanilla porter that one of the guys in my brew club made. If I remember correctly, he just added 2 vanilla beans (cut and scraped) to the secondary of a stander porter recipe.
